After using InfoReady as a one-way communication tool to compile funding opportunities, we looked for additional ways to utilize the platform. When we were tasked with helping one of our satellite campuses host a large-scale student research day, we decided to try InfoReady as a way to collect and review student abstract submissions. Students from four different HSC schools, plus students from the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, were all able to access a centralized online application to be considered for presentation at the Symposium. In addition to this purpose, InfoReady helped us communicate with students on their acceptance and gave us a function to have students upload their posters to be printed. Ultimately we were able to have over 100 student’s data stored and easily accessible by multiple staff from planning to execution of the Symposium.
